Splat Paint has been selected to provide artistic finishes for the new CinéBistro upscale movie theater scheduled to open this coming September in Hyde Park Village.

The CinéBistro concept allows moviegoers an experience akin to a private screening, with six theaters offering reserved luxury seating with dining tables. Visitors can enjoy cocktails and appetizers in the lobby bar, then order a full gourmet meal from the chef-driven menu that will be served at the table prior to the film’s start. The experience is for adults 21 years and older.

2009 Boss & Mennie Showcase Home

Splat Paint is proud to have been selected to be a building block participant for the upcoming 2009 Boss & Mennie Showcase Home at 332 Blanca Avenue on Davis Islands in South Tampa. Splat Paint has already completed an ornate (and neck breaking) Mediterranean plastered pattern on the ceiling of the gorgeous master bedroom. Next is a unique textured finish for the powder bath. The home will be open to the public this coming July. Proceeds from the sale of tickets will go to the Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

The spectacular 9000+sf, waterfront, Mediterranean, custom built house is for sale for $6.2 million. It will have over 3000sf of covered balconies and a roof top deck like you've never seen before. The views of Tampa and Tampa Bay are outstanding!

Florida Orchestra Show House

The 2009 Florida Orchestra Showhouse is open today and for the next 3 weeks on Snell Isle in St. Petersburg. Splat Paint provided the rich, textured wall finish and a framed painting for the downstairs guest bedroom.

Thanks to a new line of interior- and exterior-rated, eco-friendly, decorative textures imported from Japan, the natural beauty of nature can be transferred to walls and surfaces more effectively than ever. Seashells, sand, stone, soil, rice-straw and natural cork are just some of the natural elements that combine with low-VOC solutions to create strikingly fresh finishes inspired by nature.

I undertook an intensive training program on Florida's east coast to learn how to use the products, and earned the manufacturer-required certification to purchase and apply them. I love the potential and versatility they possess, and how they look, feel, and launch conversations!

Westshore Alliance Banner Project

2 pieces of Jeff Monsein's Imaginarium series have been selected to be included in the Westshore Expose Banner Program sponsored by the Westshore Alliance Public Art committee.

The Expose Art of Westshore banner program, brings an outdoor gallery featuring the works of local artists to the streets of Westshore each spring. Over the last two years, the works of more than 40 local artists were featured in colorful banners displayed along Kennedy and Boy Scout Boulevards, on George Bean Parkway at Tampa International Airport and at WestShore Plaza.

April 1 to May 31 – Banners will be displayed along Boy Scout and or Kennedy Boulevards
June 1 to 30 – Banners will be displayed inside WestShore Plaza mall
Various Dates throughout the year – Tampa International Airport will display the banners inside the main terminal at various times throughout the year

Splat Paint was chosen to participate in a project aimed at helping to spruce up and bring new life to a blighted portion of Tampa's Downtown. We created a life sized store front mural of an ice cream parlor. It was originally supposed to be installed behind the glass of one of the stores but due to a technicality, it ended up being mounted on wood on the outside of another store front. The work of Splat Paint and 20 other artists will be on display for the next six months.

Historic Cuban Club

Mayfair Designer Showhouse

Splat Paint was selected to provide finishes and murals for 3 of the rooms at the historic Mayfair Estate in South Tampa. The show house was open to the public for 3 weeks in November 2007. Proceeds from ticket sales went to support the Bolesta Center and The Spring.

Pathway Exhibit of Florida Artists

2 pieces of Jeff Monsein's mixed media art were accepted for The Pathway Exhibit of Florida Artists at the Florida Aquarium. 27 talented artists were selected for the show that runs from October until January. This is a great opportunity to see the aquarium and take home some great Florida themed art pieces.

Splat Paint is proud to have provided the artistic finishes for two of the bedrooms at the Tate's new home on Davis Islands. The rooms took a total of 17 hours straight but it was an amazing experience.

Congratulations! Your art work was just selected as an Award of Merit winner for the upcoming Art for Life Art Auction/Fund Raiser and will be part of a special preview reception at Robb & Stucky Interiors Friday, Aug. 25, from 6-8 p.m.

This reception will showcase 18 selected pieces to Robb & Stucky clients and designers. After the reception, these pieces will move into the showroom and be on display for two weeks as part of an Art For Life promotion!

In addition, the piece was also selected for the Art for Life Voice Auction. We received more than 300 submissions (topping last year's total count by 60+) and the competition was fierce.
